 t the ArtistCommunication has always been important to me. I like to pai
 nt as if  I am not in total control, but when I am creating with the fl
 ow of the paint and reacting to the movement of the color, I commune wit
 h the image and then with the viewer. I have studied at a number of atalie
 rs around Long Island and with several very good teachers along the way. I
  currently paint primarily in acrylic. I have shown my work in gallerie
 s and shows across Long Island and have received awards for a figure draw
 ing , “Nude Woman” and  for “Apples” in a show at Chelsea Mansion
 , Muttontown, New York. Communication is an interactive social process: th
 e give and take of thoughts, feelings and ideas. As an artist, I hope to e
 licit a response in the viewer. When the viewer sees the painting and reac
 ts to it, we have dialogue.
