Program Description

Event Details

Dive into this chilling true story that took place not far from the North Pole, on Canada’s iciest oceans. In 1845, Captain John Franklin left England with two ships equipped with the latest technology and specially designed to survive the cold. But despite these precautions, no one from the Franklin expedition ever returned to England. In this program, you’ll uncover the frozen secrets of a doomed mission meant to explore the far north. Presented by Archaeologist Patty Hamrick.

Patty Hamrick is originally from Columbus, Ohio, where she attended the Ohio State University for her undergraduate degree in Archaeology. She went on to earn an M.A. in Anthropological Archaeology from New York University. She has worked on excavations across Europe, Asia, and North America, including India, Cyprus, and Syria. She loves bringing her passion for the past to new people.
